Building the past participle in Croatian

As a next step, we learn how to build the past participle of a Croatian verb.
We will need this verb form later when talking about the past tense in Croatian.

General rule for building the past participle:

infinite stem + ending

If you are not sure how to find the infinitive stem of a Croatian verb, please go back to chapter on the infinitive.
The verb endings for the past participle, you'll find below:

m: -o (sg.) -li (pl.)
f: -la (sg.) -le (pl.)
n: -lo (sg.) -la (pl.)

💡 Let's take the verb učiti (to learn) and try it out:
m: učio (sg.) učili (pl.)
f: učila (sg.) učile (pl.)
n: učilo (sg.) učila (pl.)
