Croatian nouns

Please note that Croatian has no article.
But you have to learn the grammatical gender of every Croatian noun.
Every noun has its own gender – it can be masculine (m), feminine (f) or neuter (n).

mladić (m) – teenager
žena (f) – woman
more (n) – sea

Rules of thumb:
How will you recognize a noun's gender?

Masculine nouns often end in a consonant.
 
💡 For example:
poljubac (m) – kiss

Feminine nouns usually end in -a.
 
💡 For example:
knjiga (f) – book

Neuter nouns normally end in -e or -o.
 
💡 For example:
dijete (n) – child
meso (n) – meat
