The subjuntivo pretérito perfecto compuesto

When will you use this verb tense?
The subjuntivo pretérito perfecto compuesto is used within a subordinate phrase, if the verb in the main phrase makes a statement in the present tense, the present perfect, the imperative or the future tense.
The subordinate phase with the subjuntivo points at something that has happened in the past.


Building the subjuntivo pretérito perfecto compuesto

 
General rule:
subjuntivo presente of „haber“ + past participle (participio) of the main verb

haya comido – he has eaten
No creo que haya hecho los deberes. – I don’t think that he has done his homework.
