Negating Spanish phrases:

If you want to state a negative phrase in Spanish, you place “no” in front of the verb.

💡 For example:
Monika trabaja en la escuela. – Monika works at the school.
Monika no trabaja en la escuela. – Monika does not work at the school.

In addition to "no" the following terms can also be used:

nada nothing
nadie no-one
ni ... ni neither … nor
ningĂşn no
ninguno/a none (of)
ni siquiera not even
nunca never, not at any time
tampoco neither
