Slovakian nouns

There are three genders in Slovak: masculine, feminine and neuter.
Masculine nouns denote male living beings and nouns that end in a consonant.

Feminine nouns are nouns …

• that end in -a
  There are also masculine nouns that end in -a.
  However, these are words that describe nouns with a natural masculine gender.

Neuter are nouns …

• ending in -a and naming young creatures
• with -e the end
• that end in -ie
• ending in -o

Please, keep in mind: there are also masculine nouns ending in -o.
