Conjugation of verbs

In Slovak, verbs will change and have different endings, depending on the time, person, mood.
This is known as conjugation.
This means that the verb form changes depending on who is performing the action, whether it's one person or multiple people, and when the action is taking place.

Person and number

Slovak verbs have three persons (first, second, and third) and two numbers (singular and plural).
The conjugation of verbs depends on the combination of person and number.

💬 Example:
First person singular: ja robím ‒ I do
Second person singular: ty robíš ‒ you do
Third person singular: on/ona/ono robí ‒ he/she/it does
First person plural: my robíme ‒ we do
Second person plural: vy robíte ‒ you do
Third person plural: oni/ony/ony robia ‒ they do
