The Greek verb tense: "Aorist"

The verb form of the aorist is used when describing punctually selected and concluded actions in the past.

Aorist active

How to form the aorist active:
second verb stem + aorist suffix

διάβασα	αγάπησα	μπόρεσα
διάβασες	αγάπησες	μπόρεσες
διάβασε	αγάπησε	μπόρεσε
διαβάσαμε	αγαπήσαμε	μπορέσαμε
διαβάσατε	αγαπήσατε	μπορέσατε
διάβασαν	αγάπησαν	μπόρεσαν

The Greek language makes an difference between continuous forms and selected/punctual forms.
As we know English has continuous/progressive verb tenses as well.
Punctual forms, however, are not known in English.
